Blood Moon: Longest total lunar eclipse of 21st century coming

This Friday, we will be treated to an amazing sight in the night sky called a blood Moon

Get ready to see something pretty spectacular.
Tonight we will be able to enjoy an amazing sight in the night sky called a blood moon as part of a total lunar eclipse.
A lunar eclipse happens when the Sun, Earth and Moon are aligned. That means the Earth moves directly in between the Sun and Moon, blocking the sunlight. The eclipse then happens because the Moon enters the shadow created by Earth.
When it's a total eclipse - as it will be tonight- the Moon can look a bright reddish orange colour. That's why it is often referred to as a blood moon.

It is getting hard to read 40's to 60's SF, they had a good try but missed out a lot (especially the abundance of water)

Mars has tons of newly discovered water in a 12 mile wide reservoir

Can't wait for this to happen! In only 250 million years our continents will have merged into a single super-continent "Pangaea Proxima". Look at the cute Atlantic! The Himalaya won't be the highest mountain range anymore! Source:

Very Pretty!!

Chaotic in appearance, these tangled filaments of shocked, glowing gas are spread across planet Earth's sky toward the constellation of Cygnus as part of the Veil Nebula

I just read the sentence "Today the living outnumber the dead, meaning more people are alive today than were ever born". This is only a popular urban myth. The 7 odd billion people today make up only about 7 per cent of all humans that ever lived. Source:
