"Limitless"

That's the word being used to describe Sheldon Adelson's determination to advance Greater Israel and continued Jewish settlement of the West Bank. He's given $10 million to Romney's Super Pac for starters but that could reach $100 million ... or more. This is the campaign the Roberts court wanted.  Payback enough for a lifetime in a black robe.

He should get a bonus but, we shouldn't let evil government workers make a living.

Great - Romney wants a bonus system if he becomes President - why the hell do these people run for office?

Romney Touts Presidential Salary Plan That Was Literally A Saturday...

Apparent Romney policy adviser Dana Carvey in 1992

In an interview with conservative radio host Neal Boortz, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney floated an unusual profit-making opportunity for himself if he becomes president — paying himself ahigher salary if he performs well in the White House. In Romney’s words, “I do believe in linking my incentives and my commitment to the accomplishment of specific goals . . . . I wish we had that happen throughout government — where people recognized they are not going to get rewarded in substantial ways unless they are able to achieve the objectives that they were elected to carry out.”

Labored

By  June 13th, 2012

(Mike Luckovich via GoComics.com)

Certain juxtapositions are irresistable. Here’s Doghouse Riley on the GOP’s “Fuck You Society“:

Last Sunday, Absentee Governor and Retired Lawn Ornament Mitch Daniels went onFOXNews to call for an end to public-sector unions. Sorta. Daniels is from the wing of the party which doesn’t like to say that sort of thing without the required hemming and hawing necessary to prevent it from being held accountable for the crazy shit it’s going to do anyway…

Is this really what this election should come down to? Is it really someone’s definition of “economy”? Eliminate public unions, and our wealthy job creators will be free to create jobs, namely, security guards and private bucket brigades.

Was the 2012 election really decided when Big Donors chose up sides in 2010?

Is this really the United States of America in the 21st century? Don’t tell me.

Do we really have to relive the excesses of the fucking Gilded Age just because rich people won the 1980 Presidential election?

This is the program which has failed, publicly and demonstrably, time and again, since. Incontinent tax cutting and irresponsible regulation are precisely what got us here. And they are promoted by the likes of Mitch Daniels, public liars, political cowards, and “principled” men who won’t actually do anything except accompanied by a new moon, and the sort of massive PR campaign which convinces Americans to eat pig anus stuffed with bacon and cheese…

 Krug-Zingers

By  June 13th, 2012

“Sometimes you do wonder if these guys are moles, Manchurian candidates for I don’t know who, if their real job is to bring down America because they really are doing the best they can.” — May 18, 2012, on MSNBC’s “Martin Bashir,” speaking about House Speaker John Boehner’s and other Republican leaders’ economic policies

Via the Professor Himself, somebody at Politico did a pretty good job of finding appropriate images to illustrate “Krugman’s 13 Best GOP Zingers“...

Lawmaker's Son Outed in Primary Battle

The Denver Post reports that a GOP primary battle between two Colorado state legislators has gotten so heated that one campaign outed their own candidate's gay son to show that she was more anti-gay than her opponent by voting against civil unions for gays and lesbians.

Said Rep. Marsha Looper (R): "I am disappointed that my campaign manager forwarded an e-mail that would include any member of my family in policy discussions."

HATE GROUP LEADER COMPARES GAY PRIDE TO ‘ADULTERY PRIDE’ AND ‘DRUNK... | The Family Research Council’s Tony Perkins today lambasted the month of June for being Gay Pride Month, arguing that there aren’t pride months for “adultery” or “drunkenness.” He went on to suggest that LGBT equality will have damaging impacts on society because public accommodation laws will compromise “religious freedom,” citing the infamous New Jersey case of a Methodist pavilion that violated its agreement with the state by discriminating against a same-sex couple. Listen to Perkins:
