Since the beginning of his campaign Obama' secure vehicule in which he travels  has been built in Quebec by the Prevost enterprise.  Since 1982, american presidents use Prevost vehicles because of their top security level (and rock stars too ...).

This is the gay pride festival in Quebec city this week-end, a long week-end,  monday is a holiday and the atmosphere is very festive and so many people participate.  Saturday we have Madonna on the Plaines d'Abraha and thousands are going there even if it's very expensive.  It's outdoor but a beautful night.

Democracy in Motion: The Student Protests in Quebec Beyond...

For the past eleven weeks, thousands of university students have been protesting in the streets of Montreal demanding that the Quebec provincial government not only rescind its plans to raise tuition rates but that it provide free post-secondary education. The mayor of Montreal, Gerard Tremblay, has responded to the mostly peaceful protests by declaring that it is unacceptable “that the reputation of Montreal be stained on the international scene.” By also referring to the vandalism of businesses in downtown Montreal, the mayor made evident that he was more concerned with the reputation of Montreal in the eyes of the international business community than the potential perception of the city as an example of democracy in motion.

Cool!  I'll probably be a bit burnt out, and looking pretty sweaty, but it will be nice to take a little break before I finish closing the kitchen, :D

Do you know anyone who would like to work 4 or 5 hours every Sunday?  My dishwasher quit and Sundays are a bit of a nightmare for me.

My congé is Monday/Tuesday - otherwise I typically work  from about midi until 20h, except Sundays I do 10 to 14h - restaurant is closed at 14h on Sunday.  I sure would like to meet some of you.  On Sundays I'm typically busy as hell between 11 and 12h30.
