We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

In my neck-of-the woods, Hippies still exist, but many think they are simply dirty, lazy vagrants.  They're part of the landscape, and have been hanging around since the 60's. Some are young and arrive in town with backpacks and wear their hair in dreadlocks, some seem to be runaways, some are definitely bums, and there are some counter culture types that look and dress the part.  All good, as far as I'm concerned.  So take this silly test if you dare and find out, 'are you a hippie' too?

Neo-hippies are like traditional hippies of the 21stCentury, neo-hippies are political and motivated, but some people say that they are more interested in the fashion statement than the counter-culture movement.

In the 1960s, the word "hippie" was sometimes used as an insult. That is still true today, but the hippies have evolved and found new ways to thrive in our modern world. And we can all learn something from them.

Are you a hippie? You may be a bit of one without really knowing it. You may embrace the stereotype with glee. Or you might think that the person who wrote this quiz is nuts to think hippies are cool. Try it out anyway! It's all for fun.

You beat me big time Alayna - haha  Thought I'd rate higher than this, oh well, I guess my full-blown hippie days are truly over!

You are 55% hippie.

You're near the middle of the spectrum, but you've got an open mind. Society needs more people like you.

Well, you all beat me. =)

You are 54% hippie.

So only male and female can be considered as hippie?

my results,

Sorry Hope, you're hardly Hippie...  haha  Try again!

I am a 62% hippie (well, I thought I would rate higher...!)

i was 43% hippie, wierd, i was a hippie in SF in '68.

Carl, I hitched to SF in '71 stayed a couple of years then returned home. My score wasn't as high as I expected either!

I am ashamed of the hogh score I got. I should be zero% hippie. Questions were not quite fair

of course not. its a silly internet quiz.

You LOSE!  Barely hippie, not worth mentioning.  Don't belong here, beat-it buddy.  Move on, get lost, scram, this joint is for Happy Hippies and you ain't one!  (you know I luv ya though)

OK, I'll let the poor grade go....  Waist length hair counts big.  (got a photo?)  Just don't let anyone know that I let you slide by, cause then anyone will think they can just join  up and call themselves 'hip'.
