I didn't learn much, as I just didn't pay attention to most of it. I was just too bored & couldn't wait for the damn meetings to be over so I could get out. They may have forced my body into church, but my mind was not there.

I think that's why I like Mr Deity so much his personal experiences of the Mormon church are told in a truly unique way. I think humour is a great weapon against the pomposity of the church service.

Look at this picture of Jesus arriving in North America to preach to the Native Americans

Central to the Mormon beliefs is the Book of Abraham. The claim made by Joseph Smith was that he translated ancient Egyptian parchments to write the book. The problem is nothing that Smith claims he translated, from what Mormons call “the papyri,” stands up to scrutiny by Egyptologists. The famous papyri he supposedly translated, are remnants of the famous Book of the Dead, written 2,000 years after Abraham’s life.

Nope, wasn't interested in finding any of it out.....even in church my mind was elsewhere.

I remember being at a cousin's wedding, & we weren't allowed in to the temple for them to get ''sealed''. I thought that was crap. I think I was about 7 or thereabouts, & didn't yet know you had to qualify to get in there..

In one way that's a shame Mrs.B, you could have told us about the weird and wonderful things in the service of the Mormon liturgy mainly weird

I never got to the temple with the exception of visiting the outside, as my grandparents lived in Cardston Alberta, where its located, & grandfather was on building crew back in the day. I was never the least bit interested in trying to get there.

Feedback on the cruise....

Was disappointed. Was promptly asked to leave behind our luggage in the entryway. My husband and I were completely shocked as we presumed we’d need our belongings for this 40 day cruise.

Continued in and was not shown to our room. Asked a staff member and they only laughed and walked away. Nothing funny at all about that.

We were not only allowed to stay for a single day, but the boat didn’t even set sail. And after complaining, no one asked if we’d like to speak to the captain. I’m presuming this was Noah. But I wouldn’t know as we never met him.

Do NOT spend your money. I recommend Carnival, or Royal Caribbean next time.
