Boris Johnson confronted by a furious parent over NHS waiting times during hospital visit

Boris Johnson was confronted by a parent of a sick child over NHS waiting times during a hospital visit in London.
The man, whose child was being treated at Whipps Cross University Hospital in Leytonstone, claimed there had been "years and years and years of the NHS being destroyed".
In a conversation lasting around two minutes, the parent said the situation was "not acceptable".  He told the Prime Minister: "There are not enough people on this ward, there are not enough doctors, there are not enough nurses, it's not well organised enough.
"The NHS has been destroyed... and now you come here for a press opportunity."

Mr Johnson said "there's no press here" but the parent gestured to cameras filming the confrontation and asked: "What do you mean there's no press here, who are these people?"

Look at the startled look on Jerksons face, it's like a rabbit caught in the headlights of a car.

Brexit: Boris Johnson slammed as 'father of lies' in the Supreme Court
Boris Johnson was slammed as the "father of lies" in the Supreme Court for shutting down parliament.
Aidan O'Neill QC, representing the group of MPs and peers who won a case in Edinburgh, urged 11 of the UK's most senior judges in the UK to uphold the Scottish ruling.
In an impassioned conclusion, he urged them: "Stand up for truth, stand up for reason, stand up for diversity, stand up for Parliament, stand up for democracy by dismissing this Government appeal and upholding a constitution governed by laws, not the passing whims of men.
"What we have with prorogation is the mother of parliaments closed down by the father of lies."  But today Mr O'Neill said the court could not trust the Prime Minister's motives.
He said: “This Government has shown itself unworthy of our trust."
He questioned the truthfulness of documents the government has submitted as evidence suggesting they may have even been written to provide “cover” for what the government wanted to do.
In a brutal attack on the Prime Minister, Mr O’Neill said Boris Johnson can’t be trusted not to use “low, dishonest, dirty tricks”.
Echoing arguments made by the lawyer for Gina Miller on Tuesday, he suggested that the lack of a witness statement posed a problem for the court - a point picked up by several justices.
He told the court: “The fact is: read the documentation, and it says: ‘We know this will potentially cause us a challenge.’
“We have no affidavit that says this is true and complete.
“An affidavit would say this is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth."  In a rousing crescendo he said: “Rather than allow lies to triumph, this court should listen to the angels of its better nature and rule that this prorogation is an unlawful abuse of power of prorogation which has been entrusted to the Government.
It came after lawyers for the government insisted the PM did not advise the Queen to suspend Parliament for five weeks for any "improper purpose".  Justices heard from Sir James Eadie, who argued the suggestion the Prime Minister's intention was to "stymie Parliament" is "untenable".
Yesterday, Lord Pannick - acting on behalf of pro-EU campaigner Gina Miller - had argued the PM had deliberately tried to silence MPs debating Brexit with an "exceptionally long" shutdown of Parliament.
He suggested it was an "unlawful abuse of power", intended to stop debate on Brexit.
On the second of three days of hearings at the UK's highest court, Sir James argued the Supreme Court has no jurisdiction to rule on the lawfulness of the length of prorogation.

Jesus Christ, they are Christ Trumps and Scottish

Frederick Trump (born Friedrich Trump; 14 March 1869 – 30 May 1918) was a German–American businessman and the patriarch of the Trump family. Born in Kallstadt, in the Kingdom of Bavaria (now in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany), he emigrated to the United States at the age of 16 and started working as a barber. Several years later, in 1891, he moved to the Northwest. He allegedly made his fortune by operating restaurants and brothels in Seattle and the mining town Monte Cristo, and brothels in the Klondike Gold Rush.[1][2] He later returned to Kallstadt and married. Bavarian authorities accused him of emigrating when he was too young to avoid fulfilling his military service, so he lost his Bavarian citizenship; he and his family returned to the United States. He became a U.S. citizen in 1892.

He worked as a barber and hotel manager, and began to acquire real estate in Queens. He was the father of Frederick Christ Trump and John G. Trump, and grandfather of Donald J. Trump, the 45th president of the United States.

Brexit news: Tories round on Luxembourg PM for an attack on conference no-show Boris Johnson

Tory MPs have rounded on Luxembourg’s leader Xavier Bettel after he took aim at Boris Johnson, who failed to appear at their scheduled joint press conference.

The small European country’s Prime Minister angered many Conservatives after going ahead with his address alongside an empty podium on Monday.
Amid chaotic scenes outside Luxembourg's Ministry of State, Mr Johnson walked out complaining a noisy anti-Brexit demonstration made it impossible to go ahead.
To cheers from the crowd, Mr Bettel then mounted an emotional onslaught, complaining about the future of citizens across the EU was being held hostage for "party political gains".

Could also have something to do with avoiding military service. Who knows what Germany was like back then.
