Our President Is an Asshole

From the Washington Post: Butte County Sheriff Kory L. Honea told reporters at a news conference Friday evening that officials had found nine people who had been killed by the fire: Four were found dead in their cars in Paradise, down from the five officials had spoken about earlier; three outside of houses; and two others, one inside a home, and another near a car.

From the New York Times: In the northern town of Paradise, the ruins of houses and businesses smoldered throughout the day, while in Southern California, tens of thousands of residents fled their homes and jammed onto highways. Exotic lemurs and parrots were packed up and carried away to safety as fires ringed the Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park. Officials estimated that the blaze in the north, called the Camp Fire, had destroyed a staggering 6,700 structures — most of them residential. Such vast devastation would make it the most destructive fire in modern state history.

From the LA Times: Homes and businesses had been reduced to piles of twisted metal. Tall pine trees and utility poles smoldered. According to the California Teachers Assn., at least five of the nine schools in Paradise were destroyed, including Paradise Elementary School. Cars abandoned by fleeing motorists who found themselves unable to escape lay crumpled in the roadways, their tires melted. The bodies of five people were discovered on Edgewood Lane in vehicles overtaken by the fire. Others were found outside their cars and homes. Butte County Sheriff Kory L. Honea said they could not immediately be identified because they were burned so badly.

I think the media should all get together & completely ignore him for a month, just to see what he'd do.

When the Obama White House tried to take the credentials from Fox News all the other so called liberal media sided with fox news and got the them to change their minds. I don't see fox news backing Acosta to have his credentials restored.

Trump says more reporters may lose White House credentials

U.S. President Donald Trump said he might not return CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s pass to get into the White House and that other journalists may lose their credentials as well, after he argued with Acosta at a post-election news conference on Wednesday.

The guy who paid off his porn star mistress during the campaign, was on tape saying he grabs pussy without permission, called other countries shitholes, uses playground insults for members of Congress, & berates journalists says reporters need to treat him with respect.

US bounty on PKK leaders condemned as an attack on ‘all Kurdish people fighting for freedom’

IRAQ’S Kurdish parties today united to condemn a $5 million bounty placed on the leaders of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) by the US government, branding it part of an “international plot.”
Washington announced via its embassy in Ankara on Wednesday that it will offer a cash reward to those who provide information on the location of three senior PKK members – Cemil Bayık, Duran Kalkan and Murat Karayilan.
It followed a visit to Turkey by the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer who said: “The US values its counterterrorism co-operation with our Nato ally Turkey.
“As part of my visit, I am pleased to announce that the State Department Rewards for Justice programme is targeting three senior members of the terrorist organisation PKK.”
The State Department promised “100 per cent confidentiality” and said that those who provide information may be offered relocation under a protection programme.
Both the US and Turkey deem the PKK a terrorist organisation.
Relations between the two countries have come under strain due to Washington’s continued support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria, which Ankara insists is an offshoot of the PKK.
However the decision was slammed by a number of Kurdish parties and organisations who demanded the US withdraw its offer.
The Kurdistan Communities Union warned in a statement that the bounty was part of an international plot, branding it “a hostile approach that constitutes an attack against not just the PKK... but all Kurdish people fighting for freedom and democracy.”
A protest against the US decision was held today by the Kurdistan Communist Party in Kalar city, Sulaymaniyah.
Hundreds gathered in Leyla Qasım Park as party spokesman Ehmed Mecid said: “We are protesting the decision of the US towards the founders of the Kurdistan freedom struggle.”
Patriotic Union of Kurdistan foreign relations spokesman Sanaz Ibrahim Ehmed said in a statement: “We will prove that Kurds will not sell their revolutionaries. Together we will destroy the plans developed against our leaders” and branded the US announcement “a shameful decision to please Turkey”.
The Free Society Movement of Kurdistan said the decision was directed against the Kurdish freedom revolution and the legitimate rights and demands of Kurds.
“We call upon all political parties, personalities and human rights organisations to react to this vicious decision. Let us turn this into an occasion for the establishment of national unity,” they stated.

If I had a second choice country to live in it would be Greece. I just love Greek culture, especially classical Hellenic Culture. I studied Greek History when I was in my 6th form college and later in Adult education classes
