As much as some may dislike Donald Trump - VP Pence, and Paul Ryan are waiting in the wings to replace him. Throw out fresh garbage  for rotten trash.

I wonder if some presidential candidates pick VP's  as assination insurance. Pence is a good one for that.

I'm surprised Ann Coulter didn't replace Sean Spicer as press secretary. She is out of her gord as Trump is (in a different way),  though she would prop up his base.  Coulter and Trump are both reality stage performers.

I understand that some find the Trump reality show entertaining.  It would be bolstered by Coulter.

Imagine Twitt and Twats tweets together. ( chuckle)

It will be interesting to read a book Spicer may write about his time as press secretary.

Sen. Jeff Flake Announces That He Won’t Seek Reelection Then Rips Trump To Shreds

Sen. Jeff Flake of Arizona announced that he was not running for reelection then proceeded to rip Trump to pieces.

Flake said, “We must stop pretending that the degradation of our politics and the conduct of some in our Executive Branch are normal. They are not normal. Reckless, outrageous, and undignified behavior has become excused and countenanced as telling it like it is when it is really just reckless, outrageous, and undignified, and when such behavior emanates from the top of our government, it is something else. It is dangerous to a democracy.”

Sen. Flake has more credibility as a Trump critic because he has been criticizing the President since the last presidential campaign. Senate Republicans suddenly have a group of loose cannons. John McCain doesn’t seem to be wasting a second while battling brain cancer, while the retiring Bob Corker and Flake are letting it fly.

Trump has few friends in the Senate, and it is questionable how these retirements are going to impact the votes on tax cuts and tax reform.

Flake has been floated as a potential Republican presidential candidate, while primarying any incumbent president is a nearly impossible task, if Flake would decide to run, he could speak for those Republicans who are sickened by Trump.

Why does the US have so many child brides?

Angel was 13 when her mother forced her to marry and start a family. "I felt like a slave," she says of her childhood.

While countries like Zimbabwe, Malawi and El Salvador have recently banned child marriage, it remains legal in the US - and half of states have no set minimum age below which you cannot get married.

For the BBC's America First? series the BBC's Aleem Maqbool is exploring health and social issues where the US, the richest country in the world, does not perform well in international rankings.

Suspicion that LGBT rights are 'Western agenda' fuels Indonesian crackdown

Jakarta: Suspicion that gay rights is a "Western agenda" aimed at destroying Indonesian culture has helped fuel an unprecedented crackdown on the nation's LGBT community.

As other countries in the region move towards recognising LGBT rights - Taiwan will become the first Asian country to legalise same-sex marriage, Australia is conducting a postal survey on the issue and Thailand has passed legislation outlawing discrimination on the grounds of gender expression - Indonesia is moving in the opposite direction.

Human Rights Watch says anti-LGBT incidents have significantly increased over the past 18 months amid a "spike in noxious rhetoric from public officials and politicians".

"LGBT rights are seen as a Western agenda," prominent Indonesian gay activist Dede Oetomo told Fairfax Media.
