When I was a kid and they started showing the early Black and White Dr Who and every time a Dalek shot a Human the screen went negative and it really scared the bejebus out of me.

Doctor who at the BBC HQ

Went for my nightly Coffee fix tonight and went a slightly different route and I passed the BBC HQ or Broadcasting House and decided to pop into the main entrance. The BBC has totally changed the layout of the old ornate entrance now the new entrance is down the middle of the horseshoe-shaped building.

Theirs a small Dr Who exhibition in the foyer and took a couple of photos.

The Tardis.

And a Dalek lurking.

That looks a bit more realistic, Doone.

We drink a lot of tea too, but coffee is usually the first thing offered if someone comes to your home. If refused, then tea is offered.

Most people have coffee when they go out, & the first cup of coffee is paid for, & then refills after are free of charge.

I can understand Britain being so low in the table because most of us drink Tea at home. I have to admit I would have thought Canada would be much higher. Tell me Mrs.B is coffee served free in your diners like in the US with your meal?

Comment by Doone on January 18, 2020 at 2:35pm

What the heck - now Canada is 3rd in this Graph

Maybe that graph is wrong!

Canadians are a coffee-loving people. According to a recent study reported by telegraph, among twenty countries in the world that drink more coffee per capita, Canada is placed at number 10, overcoming the US  in 26th, and the UK that turns up at number 45

I don't understand us being so low with coffee houses everywhere, & always busy. Coffee is always served or offered at homes too.

Comment by Doone on January 18, 2020 at 8:58am
