Ronald Reagun and George Shultz prayed for the apocalypse.

It's impossible to tell what Donald Trump thinks  - though obvious he plays up to apolyptical Christians. Trumps deynal of science (of any kind) is an example of playcating religionists.  I doubt he believes anything he says - perhaps he believes everything he says. If he doesn't start a war I'll be content with him as kookie as he is.

Worry Pence is in the wings waiting to see what happens.  Pence is about the creepies national politician I've seen.

With apolyptical Christians - what do they need to go to heaven.  More chaios in and around Jerusaem and Isral . To make Jewish and Islamic believers  xtian and the distruction of life on earth.

Climate change is the perfict antidote for that kind of thinking.

As the climate warms, Antarctica has been melting unevenly. Some areas like the Antarctic Peninsula & West Antarctica have lost mass rapidly. Others, like East Antarctica, have stayed relatively stable. But new research suggests that could be changing.

From Kevin Drum

could go on. But what’s my point? Just this: the danger of future climate change is now about as clear as it’s going to get. It’s not a matter of computer models anymore. Just look around you and the evidence is all there: wildfires, droughts, hurricanes, desperate migrants, the Northwest Passage opening up. Those will get slowly worse over the next few decades, but they’re already bad enough to be clearly visible. And yet there’s still no real willingness to reduce fossil fuel use anywhere. Not if it costs more than a trivial few cents anyway, and even at that it’s hard to get the public to approve it unless that cost is buried somewhere.

Like most of you I want to keep fighting to reduce fossil fuel

California Wildfire Likely Spread Nuclear Contamination From Toxic ...

The incredibly destructive Woolsey Fire in southern California has burned nearly 100,000 acres in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, killed three people, destroyed more than 400 structures, and at the time of this writing, was finally nearly completely contained.

The fire may also have released large amounts of radiation and toxins into the air after burning through a former rocket engine testing site where a partial nuclear meltdown took place nearly six decades ago.

“The Woolsey Fire has most likely released and spread both radiological and chemical contamination that was in the Santa Susana Field Laboratory’s soil and vegetation via smoke and ash,” Dr. Bob Dodge, president of Physicians for Social Responsibility-Los Angeles (PSR-LA), told Truthout.

"In a world 1.5-2°C warmer than today we will be locked into millennia of irreversible sea level rise, due to the slow response time of the Antarctic ice sheets to atmospheric and ocean warming." "We may already be living in such a world."
