3. Ox penis

Ox penis

While in Western nations ox penis is dried and sold as dog treats, in the Far East it is a common snack and noted to taste—quite inexplicably—as seafood left a bit too long in the pan. Ox penis can be consumed raw, but it's generally cooked by steaming or deep-frying. So if you've got a taste for overcooked squid, then ox penis is definitely the dish for you!

Caption: Water bears. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of two water bears (Paramacrobiotus craterlaki. Water bears (or tardigrades) are tiny invertebrates that live in aquatic and semi-aquatic habitats such as lichen and damp moss. Paramacrobiotus craterlaki is a carnivorous species that feeds on nematodes and rotifers. Water bears are found throughout the world, including regions of extreme temperature, such as hot springs, and extreme pressure, such as deep underwater. They can also survive the high levels of radiation and vacuum of space. Magnification: x200 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.

Giant Tyranno Dino-Chicken

It’s not your father’s tyrannosaur: Yutyrannus huali, a newly discovered ancestor of Tyrannosaurus rex, was covered from head to tail in downy feathers.

At 30 feet long and weighing 3,000 pounds, Y. huali wasn’t so large as T. rex, which came 60 million years later, but it’s the largest feathered tyrannosaur yet found. That such a big creature was feathered suggests its iconic descendant could have been similarly plumed.

The discovery provides “direct evidence for the presence of extensively feathered gigantic dinosaurs,” wrote paleontologists led by Xing Xu of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in their description of the new dinosaur, published April 5 in Nature.

Is it a mutant pig? Is it a mini horse? No, it’s a really weird Chinese dog

Chinese residents were left terrified after mistaking a pink-skinned stray dog for either an escaped genetically modified pig or a strangely coloured mini-horse.

It's a fat Chinese crested dog. There are two living in my building. The poor things are hideous.

Perhaps I do not like them because the two that live in my building are neurotic little beasts who want to pick up a fight with bigger dogs all the time (including my 2 dogs). they bark a lot too. But it could well be the owner's fault.
