okay?
next video is not for everyone. but i want the world to see this :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=museuuCrA6Q&feature=g-logo&c...
so this sudanese guy killed a woman then raped her then try to kill the rest of her family and he robbed money from the house which he jumped into it.
What state did to him?
cut off his head in public then they hung him up.
as you can watch the video a lot of immigrants especially Pakistanis are there, i do not know why they chose this place, is there another place to do it in? i do not know.
but i know this , this behavior of the State, does not belong to the age of modernity and rationality and human rights and if they insisted on death sentence, there are better ways than this.

But wow, this Sudanese guy was a piece of work!
In a truly modern world, we should study these people, not kill them. It would seem that even the USA (the self-appointed flag-bearers of modernity) are not there yet. Their executions are more clinical, of course, but they sort of override their dissuasive impact by hiding them, rendering them socially moot.

Every time I think that the death penalty should be stopped something show up and makes me change my mind ... its just in some cases capital punishment is required.
and if we study these people then what will happens to them after the study end ?

Like we used to do for innocent monkeys.

I am against capital punishment, no one has the right to take life.

Permalink Reply by Neal on April 27, 2012 at 4:09pm I agree with Victor, capital punishment is a crime.

I think in some cases capital punishment is required .
I disagree with their Methods .

Permalink Reply by Neal on June 5, 2012 at 10:31am When a criminal is executed in the U.S., it makes us all killers since we pay for the act. Capital punishment is a crime.

Permalink Reply by Ali on June 5, 2012 at 11:17am sorry neal
but some criminals deserve the death penalty ... I do not want them to live in my neighborhood or my city .. We are better without them ..
look at what this guy did he killed a woman then raped her then try to kill the rest of her family ... is this a guy you honestly want him to live in your neighborhood or in your city?

Permalink Reply by Michel on June 5, 2012 at 11:56am I don't think this guy should be killed.
I do have the very animal feeling that he should suffer what he made his victims suffer - kill his family, rape then kill him - but it makes no sense.
That guy should be studied, put under scientific scrutiny then detained for the rest of his life. If that drives him mad, we study that too. Solitary confinement for the rest of his existence is worse punishment that the rest death would procure him.

Well first I'm sure that all our feelings (including love and passion) is animal feelings.
Secondly, I disagree with their method I don't want him to suffer in his death nor to be hang like this after his death.
What you are talking about would cost the state a lot...AND then what? are you willing to allow the gov to make psychological tests on children in schools? IF not then simply no need to waste money or time.

Permalink Reply by Michel on June 6, 2012 at 3:12pm Curbing those feelings is a human characteristic.
What cost the states a lot are useless arrests (political, pot, lack of papers...) not the upkeep of real criminals.
The scientific study of criminals would not be geared to clean up the gene pool - so no psych tests for children other than the ones they currently get.
You study malfunctioning brains in order to better understand the functioning brain. That's an ongoing field of research, it's nothing new, you are just providing them with live test subjects for the study of extreme socio or psychopathy.
Money well spent IMO and a life spared.
