How deluded these people are. Why cant they see what risks they are putting their children through. I thought polygamy was illegal in the US why aren't the authority's doing something about it.

Its part of gawd's plan for them, dontcha know.

It is illegal there, & here, but trying to charge them has been a huge problem.

They keep claiming they are practising their religion, & that of course is only accountable to gawd's law.

They are finally charging some of these old farts with ''marrying'' under-age girls, & getting jail time.

Too bad its not enough, & it takes years!

Long past time to get religions off the pedestal & under the law of the land!

Bloody right Mrs.B. either we are all equal under the law or we ain't

Definitely!

We have a polygamous town in southeast BC called Bountiful & they've been trying for decades to get charges on them that will stick.

There finally been some charges & actual convictions lately, but its so little compared to whats going on.

They will run to the US polygamous towns to avoid the authorities, but they want their freedom to ''practice'' their religion!

Idiotic!!!!

Good decision by the court. But its about time something was done to stop these people

Are any of these morons in the UK, or is it a N. American thing?

Mormonism as many other kookie religions started in the U.S. .

I know that!

Most of my relatives came here from the US, & many have returned there.

My grandfather was 13 when they came up by wagon train, with his father & his 4 wives, & founded Cardston Alberta.

Grandfather lost his first wife, went to Britain on a mission, & came home with another wife, my grandmother.....22 years younger.

There is a TV show called Escaping Polygamy.

I know.

Why do women put up with this type of control?
