We are a worldwide social network of freethinkers, atheists, agnostics and secular humanists.

Are the .1% are shooting themselves in the foot by hording.

Are the .1% are shooting themselves in the foot by hording.

Presently, the rich preside over a demographic pyramid that is top shaped and de-stabled.

Ironically, because the rich have put themselves so far from the base, they themselves have become the most unstable part of the pyramid. This is not good for the rich.

Trickle down, an economic concept which is what we all live in, if increased would remedy the stability problem.

With the world below being de-stabilized by the rich, due to their distance from the bottom, and the rich knowing the benefits of stability, would be well advised to lower its demographic position and bring profits to the whole demography.

To the rich, with profits to all being possible, I would ask, what are you waiting for?

Trickle down economics are a cruel fallacy that allows the rich to pretend that capitalism is working for the Middle and working classes.

Stephen

I agree and that is why I recommend a trickle up policy.

My understanding that French citizens rose up to overthow the heierchacy, reign of terror and other problems.

I guess this kind of conflict is inevitable.

Chris

I hope that revolution is inevitable. We need a revolution to reset our demographic pyramid.

I hope you're right DL but in todays atmosphere in America I doubt there is support for change. its different here in the UK I think we're ready for a bog change.

I hope you are correct. Someone has to show the U.S. the way they should walk their talk.

I hope you Brits have bigger balls than what the Yanks say they have and have learned from the French Revolution more than on our side of the Atlantic.

Milt Freidman's school of economic theory is still adhered to by may in political office.

Friedman is a P.O.S..  Any, or everyone who believe that nonsense are like religious zealots.

From what I understand, the 4 main voices in economic thinking are all at odds with each other.

We have yet to know all there is to know as to how our economy truly works.

Piketty has written some good things on the pitfalls of what we are presently doing.
